PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Relocating the door and rearranging the fixture layout in this primary ensuite bathroom created a world of difference.
Previously, this primary bath was small, cramped and inefficient. A large vanity with only one sink sat next to the window and a tight walk-in shower stood on the opposite side of the room. By flipping this configuration, we were able to create a large walk-in shower now drenched in natural light. We were also able to create a new wall-to-wall double vanity worthy of a primary bathroom by borrowing some space from an adjacent closet.
Coastal luxury was the inspiration for the materials, fixtures and finishes. A beautiful Calacatta marble hexagon mosaic tile covers the entire bathroom floor and wraps up the wall behind the vanity, providing texture and warmth to the space. The black matte slab drawer fronts of the vanity stand out against the marble mosaic tile, adding contrast to the otherwise bright white space, mimicked in the wall sconces above. Gold fittings and hardware add softness and warmth and a new beautiful acacia wood stool adds function and style.
